Description
Use the Inclined Plane to determine the coefficient of kinematic and static friction, mechanical advantage and efficiency of an inclined plane, etc. It is comprised of a hardwood inclined plane, 24″ (600 mm) L x 4″ (100 mm) W, fitted with a pulley, 0.88″ (22 mm) Dia., mounted at the free end. It is hinged to a horizontal polished wooden base, 18″ (450 mm) L x 4″ (100 mm) W, which is fitted with an aluminum arc graduated both vertically and angularly. The inclined plane can be fixed at any angle up to 45° or at a suitable height with a metal clamping wingnut.
Includes:
• 2 wooden blocks with eyelets, 8″ (200 mm) L x 3″ (75 mm) W and 4″ (100 mm) L x 3″ (75mm) W
• Steel block with hook, 4″ (100 mm) L x 3″ (75 mm) W
• Scale pan 4″ (100 mm) Dia. with cord and hook
